THE MORE PROGRAM
The
MORE program at Celebrate Differences is designed to develop and strengthen
social skills so that participants can form and sustain friendships, engage in
job and volunteer positions and integrate successfully in their community.
While we offer a variety of activities, ranging from quiet, structured
activities to fast pace, physical activities, all participants are required to
engage with peers as part of a group.
The MORE program strives to maximize opportunities for young
adults with disabilities through:

MORE is focused on several key aspects including:
Health
& wellness
Improving
life skills
Improving
vocational skills
Community integration
Activities focus on immersing our participates into the local
community, forging new opportunities for our participants to create
relationships in the very places they live.
Steps for the pilot program:

3) Photo Release
4) Payment
All items must be turned in prior to the start of the program.
One of our goals is to see inspiring growth in the social skills
of our participants through our program. We hope they will enjoy their time at
Celebrate Differences and contribute to our ongoing success with their ideas,
enthusiasm and respect for each other. We welcome new participants who can
benefit from our program, but recognize that we are not ideal for
everyone.
Please note that each
participant must have transportation to and from Celebrate Differences or
designated location. Other locations will be communicated. If the program
requires participants relocate to another location, Kendall Area Transit will
be utilized and the fee will be paid by Celebrate Differences.
