Celebrate Differences is an all-inclusive disability organization, welcoming all children and their families regardless of age or disability. AFINS (Advocates for Individuals with Special Needs) and Celebrate Differences are partnering up to bring you an unforgettable experience at the Developmental Disabilities Awareness Day in Tallahassee on March 11, 2025. This event is not just a day to gather—it’s an opportunity to stand together and make our voices heard. The Florida State House will host its annual Developmental Disabilities Awareness Day, providing a crucial platform for the disability community to raise awareness about the issues that impact our families and advocate for meaningful change. Why is this Day Important?Developmental Disabilities Awareness Day is a vital moment for the disability community to unite, share our stories, and stand strong in advocating for legislative changes that can improve the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. It's more than a day on the calendar—it’s a call to action for everyone who cares about creating a more inclusive and supportive world. But here’s where we need YOU. The power of advocacy is in numbers. The more we show up, the louder our collective voice becomes. Legislators need to see the faces behind the statistics—the caregivers, families, and individuals whose lives are directly impacted. When we stand together, change is possible.
